Professional Experience

Auke Visser joined Nash Johnston LLP after articling and practicing civil litigation at a leading national law firm. He has experience in a variety of areas, including insurance and tort liability, commercial litigation, and administrative law. Auke has appeared before the British Columbia Supreme Court, British Columbia Provincial Court, and the Federal Court of Canada, and has assisted on matters before the British Columbia Court of Appeal and various administrative tribunals. Auke volunteers with Access Pro Bono and has authored or co-authored numerous articles and chapters in various publications.

Professional and Community Involvement

As a student at the University of Alberta Law School, Auke represented clients in various civil and criminal matters. Auke currently serves as a volunteer lawyer with Access Pro Bono’s Free Legal Advice-A-Thon. In his spare time, Auke plays and watches a variety of sports, primarily soccer, and he particularly enjoys coaching the Cliff Avenue Avengers, a formidable U6 team based in Burnaby.
